Hi there. In this blog post I will explain what I'm doing at the moment and why, in order to grow my popularity and gain more audience online. Having internet popularity for me is very important as I'm mainly aiming for a freelance job in the future.
Apart from university work (art wise), I'm continuously trying to draw fanarts of trending or popluar characters from well known video games, series etc. This helps me to gather people who are into that topic and like my art style. I think by doing so many fanarts over the years it really helped me to improve my art skills and ideas between a simple character design and sophisticated ones.
Posting frequently on social medias. I do this even though I won't have a new full rendered drawing to post and end up posting something, or a work-in-progress screenshot or just an interactive post.
Streaming video games, art-making time, anything. I do this using Twitch and I think it's really helpful, as in the first 2 months of doing it I managed to engage with a lot of nice and fun people who seemed to like my presence and personality.
Online presence is a big one for me. This comes hand in hand with the fanarts, frequent posts and even online streams I do in order to keep my current followers ingaged and gather possible future audience as well.
